  • Domestic, Foreign Airlines Reward Passengers With Valentine Offers

Some airlines, both domestic and foreign, have unveiled programmes to celebrate the Valentine period with their passengers.

In separate statements, the airlines said the season offered an opportunity to reward their loyal clients.

Emirate Airlines said Nigerian travellers amongst other passengers on board its flight would be hosted to a treat on the Valentine’s Day (today) as its own way of showing love.

“The treat will be for passengers on board flight moving from Dubai. However, given that Nigerian travellers will always get to Dubai, the Emirates hub, before arriving at their final destinations, they will also be given the opportunity to enjoy the treat,” the airline said.

It added that to celebrate its customers on board and on ground on February 14 across its global network, including Nigeria, Emirates was giving out heart shaped milk chocolates, and premium single origin couverture Belgium chocolate which would be served alongside the main course for economy and business class customers exclusively, among other treats.

Domestic carrier, Dana Air, said it had also unveiled a special valentine promo for its guests.

“From 9th to 28th February, 2018, guests travelling with their spouse or partner will only need to book a return ticket to get another free,” the airline said.

The Communications Manager of Dana Air, Kingsley Ezenwa, said the airline also partnered Divine Eagle Ministry, a non-governmental organisation, to host children from four orphanages – Ijamido orphanage, St Monica orphanage, Light for the lost orphanage and Favid orphanage with a facility tour at the Murtala Muhammed Airport 2, before treating the kids to food and gifts.

“Dana Air is enthusiastic about any initiative that unites the family or encourages love in the family and society. And the Valentine season provides the opportunity to further renew the bond of love in the family and between couples,” he said.

British Airways has also introduced a promo for its passengers by offering promotional fares in World Traveller.

The airline said customers and the general public would be able to have access to the Valentine’s Day promo fares to travel to London and other destinations.

“For those planning a romantic getaway to the romantic city, Paris, British Airways is also offering World Traveller promo fares,” the airline said.
