- 42 Firms Bid for NNPC Technology Division’s Rehabilitation
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation on Thursday announced that 42 firms submitted bids for the rehabilitation of its Information Technology Division centres.
The Group General Manager, Information Technology Division, NNPC, Mr. Danladi Inuwa, disclosed this during the bid opening in Abuja.
Inuwa, who was represented by the General Manager, Core IT Infrastructure at the corporation, Mr. Muhammadu Usman, said the eventual winners would rehabilitate the NNPC’s IT centres in Abuja, Benin, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Kaduna and Warri.
Inuwa said in a statement that the NNPC was desirous of engaging reputable and competent IT firms that could rehabilitate its critical assets in order to provide a working condition that would be conducive to IT for stakeholders and members of staff.
He stated that the bid opening was conducted openly in the presence of representatives of the bidding firms to demonstrate the corporation’s commitment to transparency and due process.
The Group General Manager, Supply Chain Management, NNPC, Mr. Shehu Liman, who was represented by the Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management, Mr. Sandy Heman, stated that the bid opening process was in compliance with the Public Procurement Act.
