- NIM Gets New President, Principal Officers
The Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) has elected new principal officers to run its affairs for the next two years, with Olukunle Iyanda, a professor of international business management and marketing, emerging the 21st President and Chairman of Council.
Iyanda, a former Director-General of the institute and ex-Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, was the deputy president until the election.
Also elected were Mrs. Pat Anabor, a university administrator and first female registrar/chief executive of the institute, as deputy president, while Major Gen. Iyanda Muraina (retd.) emerged as the national treasurer.
The NIM said in a statement, “The new President, who has served the institute in various capacities for many years, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Lagos.
“He also went to the Graduate School of Business (now Stern School of Business) of the New York University, New York, United States of America, where he studied for a Master’s of Business Administration degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in International Business Management and Marketing. He has over 40 years of professional and managerial experiences.”
“This erudite scholar of international repute, who did not allow indigence to deter him from achieving his set academic goals, distinguished himself all through his academic pursuit, passing with top grades,” the statement added.
