Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc has expressed its commitment to insurance growth in the country through youth empowerment as part of its corporate social responsibility services.

The Chairman of the company, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, said this during the maiden edition of the Mutual Benefits National Badminton Championship tournament at Police College in Lagos.

Ogunbiyi stressed the relevance of insurance to different sectors of the economy, including sports.

He said, “Youth empowerment through the development of sports has been a key focus of Mutual Benefits’ CSR activities. Our resolve is driven by the need to creatively add value and the understanding that gifted youths need platforms such as this to develop, receive mentorship and showcase their talents.”

He also disclosed that the complex in the Police College where the tournament took place was donated by Mutual Benefit three years ago.

According to him, the tournament provided opportunity to discover and nurture talents who will fly the flag of Nigeria at the international stage.
