- Adopt Bio-solutions for Food Security, Experts Tell FG
Agricultural experts and investors in the sector have advised the Federal Government to adopt bio-solutions and inputs as viable measures that will help guarantee food security in Nigeria.
The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Nigeria Biotechnology Society, who doubles as the Vice Chancellor, Taraba State University, Prof, Vincent Tenebe; the President, BSN, Prof. Benjamin Ubi; and the Chairman, Contec Global Agro Limited, an agricultural investment firm, Dr. Benoy Berry, said Nigeria’s agricultural production would receive significant boost if the federal and state governments promote the use of biotechnology in agriculture.
They stated this during the facility tour of Contec’s tissue culture and microbiological laboratories by the BSN board members in Abuja, according to a statement issued by CGAL on Monday.
