Germany-based manufacturer of waste and recycling bins and containers for the collection and transportation of solid waste, SSI Schaefer, has signed an agreement with the Visionscape Group for the delivery of waste bins and containers following a successful bid.

SSI Schaefer said the first batch order of 50,000 packs of 240-litre waste bins would be delivered soon for use in Visionscape’s integrated waste management operations across Africa.

The Head of Sales, Schaefer Africa, Stephan Weissenbacher, said the company was selected due to its quality control measures and high quality containers, which meet tough everyday usage demands for waste and recyclable materials.

“We are excited about this new opportunity to cooperate with Visionscape on the African continent and to assist and support Visionscape with our know-how and experience throughout the world in the last decades. Our bins are in use in Lagos since 2009,” he said.
