A private electricity generating company, Paras Energy & Natural Resources Development Limited, plans to sell some megawatts of electricity outside Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a communiqué issued at the end of the 14th monthly meeting of the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, with operators of the power sector, on Monday at the National Control Centre, Osogbo.

“The meeting received the confirmation from the independent system operator that the intention of Paras Energy to sell 60MW internationally will not jeopardise the power purchased by the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trader for use in the domestic market,” the communique stated.
