The Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Fatai Owoseni, has disclosed that the popular R&B star, Innocent Idibia, also known as Tuface does not have the capacity to contain such a crowd.

“We know that Tuface does not have the capacity to contain such a crowd and we will not fold our hands and watch while things go out of hand,” he stated.

According to the commissioner, no matter how good his intention, hoodlums would always find a way to rob, harass and attack innocent members of the society. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the society and protesters that the police command banned the proposed protest in the state.

He further stated that the police have received an intelligence report that hoodlums are planning to hijack the process to wreak havoc in the state.

Tuface who recently announced his intention to lead a nationwide protest on Instagram, said he would protest against the Federal Government’s handling of the economy among other issues and encourage fellow Nigerians to come out and demand for a CHANGE.

The protest was initially planned for February 5th, and later shifted to February 6th.
