- Oil Firm Boss Hails FG Over Modular Refineries
The Chairman of Anosyke Group of Companies, Mr Ifeanyi Anosike, has hailed the move by the Federal Government to establish two modular refineries, each in Delta and Rivers states.
Anosike, whose company provides services in oil procurement, importation, storage, distribution, trading and retailing of various petroleum products, said this would help in reducing the restiveness in the Niger Delta region.
Speaking with our correspondent, the oil services entrepreneur noted that the modular refinery idea was one of the major strides of President Muhammadu Buhari in the oil sector, noting that the President deserved the cooperation of all stakeholders.
He said, “The idea of the modular refinery by the Federal Government is a welcome development, as it will help in dousing tension in the Niger Delta region, where there is often youths’ restiveness.
“Without doubt, it will pull a lot of youths out of the unemployment market and then have multiplier effects on all spheres of life among the people of the South-South and even the South-East region.
“We salute the sagacity of Mr President, who believes that our educated youths should be given the tools for fishing and allowed to fish, rather than being fed with fish, which is not sustainable.”
Anosike, who expressed the readiness of his oil services company to break new grounds in the oil sector, said a recent clean bill of health given to his company at the end of a legal battle was an elixir.
He said a recent dismissal of a suit filed against his company over an alleged oil subsidy scam had boosted his morale “to make sincere contributions to break new grounds and improve on oil services delivery.”
A Lagos State High Court had in May, this year, dismissed a suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission against Anosyke Group of Companies, Anosike, and three others, over alleged diversion of fuel subsidy funds, among others.
