Shareholders of BUA Foods Plc have approved the payment of a ₦28 dividend for every ordinary share of 50 kobo held in the company.
The dividend was approved at BUA Foods’ fifth Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
The approval followed the consideration of the company’s audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, together with the reports of the directors, external auditors and statutory audit committee.
Shareholders also approved the re-election of Abdul Samad Rabiu and Oluyemisi Lowo-Adesola as directors of the company. Both directors retired by rotation and offered themselves for re-election.
The board was authorised to determine the remuneration of the company’s external auditors for the financial year ending December 31, 2026.
Musa Bichi, Eric Akinduro Akinnifesi and Nwokocha Innocent Peters were elected as shareholders’ representatives on the Statutory Audit Committee.
Oluyemisi Lowo-Adesola and Chimaobi Madukwe will serve on the committee as representatives of the board.
Shareholders further received the disclosure of the remuneration of BUA Foods’ managers and approved the remuneration of the company’s non-executive directors for the 2026 financial year.
The resolutions consolidate the company’s dividend commitment while retaining its existing leadership and governance structure for the current financial year.
