Nestlé Nigeria Returns to Profitability with ₦50.6 Billion PAT in H1 2025
Nestlé Nigeria Plc reported a profit after tax of ₦50.6 billion for the half-year ended June 30, 2025, compared to a loss of ₦176.9 billion in the same period of 2024.
The multinational food and beverage company attributed the improved results to robust revenue growth, disciplined cost management, and early settlement of foreign exchange obligations.
Key Highlights (January–June 2025)

Revenue rose 43% year-on-year to ₦581.1 billion, up from ₦407.0 billion in H1 2024.

Gross Profit increased to ₦225.0 billion, compared to ₦127.3 billion in the prior year.

Operating Profit surged 106% to ₦130.4 billion, from ₦63.1 billion in H1 2024.

Profit Before Tax reached ₦88.4 billion, a sharp reversal from a loss of ₦252.5 billion in the same period last year.

CEO’s Remarks
Commenting on the results, Mr. Wassim Elhusseini, Managing Director/CEO of Nestlé Nigeria Plc, said the return to profitability reflects the company’s resilience and strategic execution.
“The robust topline growth of 43% and profit after tax of ₦50.6 billion in H1 2025 support our return to profitability which commenced in Q4 2024. This performance reflects our unwavering commitment to operational excellence, the support of our stakeholders, and the dedication of our team to drive sustainable growth in the face of evolving challenges.”
Looking forward, Mr. Elhusseini emphasized Nestlé’s focus on maintaining margin improvement while driving product innovation to meet shifting consumer demands.
