Q1 Revenue at Tincan Island Command Hits N347.9bn, Up from N304bn in 2024

The Nigeria Customs Service at the Tincan Island Command reported a total revenue of N347 billion for the first quarter (Q1) of 2025.

The port features 12 berths with a total length of 1,358 metres and depths ranging from 7 to 11 metres and it is capable of accommodating vessels up to 260 metres in length.

Speaking to newsmen at the command, Customs Area Controller Frank Onyeka disclosed that the command generated N116 billion in January, a 24% increase from the N88 billion recorded in January 2024.

He further noted that N103 billion was collected in February, representing a 2.9% rise compared to the N100 billion recorded in February 2024.

In March, the command grew revenue by 10.3% to N128 billion from the N115 billion collected in the same month of 2024.

“The total amount collected for the first quarter of 2025 stands at N347.9 billion, which is 12.6 per cent higher than the N304 billion collected during the same period in 2024,” he said.

Meanwhile, Onyeka commended the customs management for its continued support and pledged to sustain stakeholder engagement “in every way possible so that there can be more all-round improvement in all aspects of our operations.”

He also urged all stakeholders to embrace honest declarations to foster a seamless operational environment that benefits all parties within a more conducive ecosystem.
