AAAN President Adisa Hails LAIF Awards as a Movement for Creative Excellence

The President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Lanre Adisa, has called on advertising agencies to prioritize creativity and uphold standards that distinguish their work.

Speaking at the 2024 Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards, Adisa explained that the competition is more than just a festival—it is a movement that fosters creativity and inspires future generations.

He stated, “Let us continue to push boundaries, to innovate, to collaborate. Let us ensure that LAIF remains not just a festival but a movement—a movement that champions creativity, celebrates excellence, and inspires generations.”

While thanking the organisers for the award, he said that the award has grown to become a representation of excellence and platform that display ingenuity and resilience in the advertising industry.

The awards ceremony, held in Lagos, saw Insight Publicis dominate the medals table, securing 7 Gold, 26 Silver, and 36 Bronze medals, with a total of 327 points, earning them the title of 2024 Agency of the Year.

X3M Marketing Ideas Limited followed in second place with 10 Gold, 10 Silver, and 8 Bronze medals, while Noah’s Ark Communications came third, claiming 3 Gold, 10 Silver, and 15 Bronze medals.

Jay Chukwuemeka, Chairman of the LAIF Management Board, congratulated all participating agencies for their exceptional creativity despite challenging times.

In his welcome address, Chukwuemeka noted that this year’s edition set a record for the highest number of entries since the inception of the awards. He further emphasized that the winners in various categories were selected through a rigorous and strict evaluation process.
