Access Bank Customers to Enjoy 12% Off on Qatar Airways Flights in New Partnership

Access Bank customers are set to benefit from a new partnership between the bank and Qatar Airways, offering exclusive discounts on flights across Africa.

The collaboration aims to enhance travel accessibility and affordability for customers during the upcoming travel season.

Starting from February 14 until March 31, 2024, Access Bank customers using their USD debit cards to book flights online through Qatar Airways’ website will receive a 12% discount on both business and economy class tickets.

Hendrik du Preez, Qatar Airways’ Vice President for Africa, emphasized the airline’s commitment to broadening travel opportunities in the African market.

He highlighted the significance of partnerships like these in transforming travel experiences and addressing the continent’s underserved travel market.

Expressing enthusiasm about the collaboration, Access Bank’s Executive Director for Corporate and Investment Banking, Iyabo Soji-Okusanya, underscored the bank’s dedication to enhancing customer experiences.

She emphasized the alignment of the partnership with Access Bank’s commitment to providing exceptional services to its customers.

The initiative comes as a response to the challenges posed by financial barriers to air travel, exacerbated by recent economic fluctuations.

With the depreciation of the naira against the dollar affecting airfares, the partnership aims to alleviate financial constraints and make travel more accessible and enjoyable for customers.

As part of efforts to address high airfares charged by foreign airlines, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has established a committee to investigate and provide solutions to the issue, reflecting the broader efforts within the industry to enhance travel experiences for passengers.
