128 travelers heading to various destinations in the North experienced the joy of discounted transport fares, all thanks to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The directive, aimed at spreading optimism and relief during the festive season, found implementation through a collaboration between the Association of Luxury Bus Owners in Nigeria (ALBON) and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

The Federal Ministry of Transportation’s Situation Room Monitoring Team played a crucial role in overseeing the smooth execution of this generous initiative.

The beneficiaries, passengers en route to Gombe, Bauchi, Yola, and Maiduguri from Abuja, were treated to a significant 50% reduction in their transportation costs.

Clement Okuefuna, spearheading the disbursement of reimbursements at the Area 1 motor park in Abuja, ensured that the last 16-seater passenger bus received its passengers’ refunds promptly.

Passengers bound for Bauchi and Maiduguri were especially elated as they embarked on their journeys with half of their transportation fares safely back in their pockets.

The collaboration between ALBON and NURTW proved instrumental in seamlessly executing the transport discount initiative.

Passengers were not only refunded efficiently upon boarding designated vehicles but also experienced a hassle-free process that exemplified the spirit of hope for a brighter future in the nation.

On Christmas Day, the 16-seater buses destined for Gombe, Bauchi, Yola, and Maiduguri commenced loading as early as 5 am.

The joyous scene at the Area 1 Motor Park painted a picture of gratitude and optimism, symbolizing the positive impact of President Tinubu’s transport palliative on the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

As travelers embarked on their journeys with smiles and a sense of relief, the successful execution of this initiative stands as a testament to the power of collaborative efforts in translating hope into tangible benefits for the people.
