Kyiv experienced a significant air attack overnight as Russia launched at least five missiles, including ballistic ones, and deployed 31 Shahed attack drones.

The Ukrainian armed forces managed to intercept one missile and shoot down 19 drones. The General Staff of the armed forces confirmed the attack, activating air defense systems across much of Ukraine. Explosions were reported in the capital.

In financial news, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reached a staff-level agreement for a new loan to Ukraine amounting to approximately $900 million.

This comes at a crucial time for Kyiv as concerns arise about potential financing shortfalls from Western allies. The funds are expected to be disbursed in December pending final approval from the IMF’s board.

Ukraine has received $4.5 billion from the IMF this year, part of a $15.6 billion loan agreement for four years.

The finance minister expresses concerns about securing $29 billion out of the expected $41 billion in aid from Western allies for next year, citing unconfirmed sources for these funds.

Meanwhile, Russia reported a train derailment in the Ryazan region and a fire at a gunpowder plant in the Tambov region. The circumstances surrounding these incidents remain under investigation.
