Federal Government Dismisses Claims of N-Power Portal Opening

The Federal Government of Nigeria has unequivocally denied the alleged opening of a portal for the Renewed Hope Job Creation program.

This announcement comes in response to circulating rumors on social media that suggested the portal was being launched for the N-Power scheme.

Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, the National Programme Manager of N-Power, Renewed Hope Job Creation, urged Nigerians to disregard these unverified claims.

Egbuwalo stressed that these claims did not originate from the N-Power, Renewed Hope Job Creation office, categorizing them as false and misleading.

Furthermore, the government plans to announce details regarding the program in due time through the official portal.

It was earlier reported that the Federal Government intends to commence payments for the nine-month backlog owed to N-Power beneficiaries in November 2023.

The Renewed Hope Job Creation program, spearheaded by the government, aims to address unemployment issues in the country.

Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, had previously announced the intention to restructure the N-Power scheme under the leadership of the Bola Tinubu-led federal government.

However, recent developments confirm that the program’s reopening remains subject to official announcements via the government’s official channels.
