WhatsApp Introduces New Features to Enhance Chat Productivity and Fun

WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform owned by Meta, has recently introduced new updates to enhance the productivity and enjoyment of chats for its users.

The company has made improvements to polls, sharing of photos and videos with captions, and sharing of documents with captions.

One notable update is the introduction of single-vote polls, which allows users to create polls where voters can only choose one option. Although the polls feature currently supports multiple choice by default, users can disable this option when creating a poll.

Again, to make it easier for users to find polls in their chats, WhatsApp has enabled users to search for polls. Users can filter messages by polls and see a list of all results.

Another update is the option to forward photos and videos with captions. Users can now add extra information or completely rewrite the caption when forwarding media. Additionally, users can add captions to photos and videos when forwarding them.

When sharing documents, users now have the option to add captions as well. This feature can be helpful when sending documents that may require additional context or explanation.

To help users stay updated on poll results, WhatsApp has added a notification feature that alerts users when someone votes on their poll.

These updates have already started rolling out globally and will be available to all users in the coming weeks. This comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that WhatsApp is introducing a multi-device offering that allows users to use the same account on multiple phones.
