Microsoft Introduces New AI Features to Enhance Users’ Experience on Bing

Microsoft, the American multinational technology company, has revealed plans to transform its search engine, Bing, by introducing new AI features. The move is aimed at enhancing users’ experiences on the platform.

The new features include making Bing more visual and more personalized, with capabilities that allow users to export their Bing chat histories and draw in content from third-party plugins.

Microsoft’s AI-powered chatbot, powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4 and DALL-E 2 models, will also embrace multimodal, allowing it to answer questions within the context of images.

When users search for places or objects, their search results will be accompanied by relevant images, condensed into a card-like interface. Microsoft has assured users that it has filtering in place to prevent explicit images from appearing.

Speaking on the company’s plan to enhance Bing, Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of the Modern Life and Devices Group of Microsoft Corporation, said, “I think it is safe to say we are underway with the transformation of search. In our minds, we think that today will be the start of the next generation of this search mission.”

The new Bing feature is now available for users in Nigeria without a waitlist. Users can sign in with a Microsoft account to access the new features.

Investors King understands that since launching Bing Chat, Microsoft says that visitors to Bing, which has grown to exceed 100 million daily active users, have engaged in over half a billion chats and created over 200 million images.
