Dangote Sugar to Pay N18.220 Billion in Dividend for 2022 FY

Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, Nigeria’s leading sugar manufacturing company, has proposed to pay a final dividend of N1.50 for every shares of 50kobo held in the company in the 2022 financial year.

The company disclosed this in a statement obtained by Investors king and signed by Mrs. Temitope Hassan (FCIS), Company Secretary.

This translates to N18.220 billion given Dangote Sugar’s total share outstanding of 12,146,878,241.

Dangote Sugar advised shareholders to complete registration as dividends would only be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on the March 24th, 2023. Please note that the Register of Shareholders will be closed on March 27th, 2023.

Therefore, on 15th April 2023, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at 24th day of March, 2023 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.

However, shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form, which is also available on the website of the Registrars: www.veritasregistrars.com
The E-Dividend mandate Form should please be completed and submitted to the Registrar.

Shareholders with dividend warrants and share certificates that have remained unclaimed or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation are advised to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar.
