Microsoft has announced that its AI-powered chatbot, Bing, has been rolled out on Windows 11.

The update marks a major upgrade for Windows 11, putting Bing’s new capabilities at the front and center of its taskbar.

The move comes just a week after Microsoft released the same mode to Bing on mobile and in Skype conversations. Microsoft is also opening up a preview of its Phone Link app for iOS, which allows iPhone users to link their devices to Windows.

According to Microsoft, Bing will be accessible from the Windows search box, allowing users to directly access files and settings and perform web queries.

The search bar records more than half a billion users every month, making it an ideal way to expose users to the feature. The integration of OpenAI’s GPT-4 model into Bing was also announced on February 7, 2023, which provides a ChatGPT-like experience within the search engine.

Microsoft Head of consumer marketing Yusuf Mehdi stated that the company is reimagining what an increasingly AI-powered window for the future looks like.

He believes that the search box is a very important feature, as it is used by over half a billion people regularly. Bing’s version is far more up-to-date and can handle queries related to far more recent events.

The company’s CEO Satya Nadella believes that this technology will reshape almost every software category, noting that it has the potential to reshape the web.

In addition, Microsoft announced a price increase in Bing Search APIs, which can result in a 1,000% hike in some cases. This will be implemented by the company starting May 1st in all markets.

Investors King understands that the increase is part of Microsoft’s efforts to drive innovation and growth in the industry.

Overall, Microsoft’s new update to Windows 11 and Bing provides users with a more seamless and intuitive experience. With the integration of OpenAI’s GPT-4 model and the ability to handle queries related to recent events, Bing is set to become an essential tool for users looking to stay up-to-date on the latest news and trends.
