Dangote Takes Automobile Market to South West, to Produce 10,000 Trucks Annually

The automobile subsidiary of Dangote Conglomerate, Dangote Sinotruck West Africa Limited, has said it is targeting to maximize the business potential in the South West region of Nigeria.

The automobile firm identified the South West has hub of investments renowned for its innovation and industry, expressing optimism that the sale of vehicles will thrive in the zone.

This came as the automobile company said its firm has the capacity to produce 10,000 trucks every year.

Dangote Sinotruck West Africa Limited, which assembles full range of different types of commercial vehicles covering heavy-duty trucks, medium truck, light truck, semi-trailers, and buses is ensuring that it gains ground in the automobile industry and situate its market in the South West.

Investors King reports that the firm is presently among other automobile companies who have gathered in n Abeokuta for the 13th Gateway International Trade fair.

Speaking at the trade fair, the Regional Sales Director, Lagos/Ogun, Dangote Cement Plc, Mr Dolapo Alli, disclosed that the firm’s automobile subsidiary can produce 10,000 trucks annually, explaining that the firm was participating in the trade fair for the first time.

He said the firm’s production of 10,000 trucks yearly will create more thousands of jobs both direct and indirect, adding that Dangote Group is committed to helping Nigeria attain self-sufficiency in all the economic sectors where it operates.

While disclosing that the group has been a reliable partner to many trade fairs across Nigeria because it believes that Chambers of Commerce & Industry occupies a unique position in driving economic development through their activities, Alli said that the firm would deepen its strategies in the Southern parts of the country.

On how it will achieve this, Alli said already, Dangote Industries ltd considered Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture to be unique because Ogun State has one of the largest concentration of industries in Nigeria and serve as a corridor for transportation of goods, services, and people.

He stressed that the Gateway International Trade Fair remains an avenue for the firm to connect with its customers in South-West and other parts of the country.

Describing its maiden participation in the trade fair as “a homecoming”, Alli stated that the South West is known for innovation and industry and that Dangote Group and the people of South-West share the trait of ever pushing beyond the limits and discovering new levels of success.

He said the firm is always thinking of strategies that will drive business and create value for its customers and that it has achieved this by increasing the number and quality of products in the company’s portfolio.
