The Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has announced the disbursement of outstanding stipends for all the 7500 independent monitors under the National Social Intervention Programme (NSIP).
The Special Assistant, Media & Publicity to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Nneka Ikem made this known through her Twitter handle @nnekaikem1 for NPower news update.
Ikem enjoined those that are yet to receive theirs to file a complaint on her Twitter page. Here’s the link to her Twitter page.
The statement on her Twitter handle reads, “Breaking: FMHDSD clears outstanding stipends of all 7500 independent monitors for NSIP. If you haven’t received yours, please gather here.”
However, no update was given concerning the payment of the NPower Batch C three months allowance owed by the government.
Investors King understands that the independent monitors of the National Social Intervention Programme are saddled with the responsibility of effectively monitoring the scheme and its beneficiaries to ensure its success.
The independent monitors carry out the monitoring in their community, schools, households, and market clusters.
They are one of the most important components of the National Social Intervention Programme and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development engages them closely to make sure its programmes are well monitored. Every local government area with the various national social intervention programmes have independent monitors to ensure the attainment of the objectives of the programmes and its progress.
