Tech Giant Apple Likely to Make A Turnaround in Its Macbook Production

According to reports, Tech giant Apple is considering making a turnaround in its Macbook production in 2025.

Apple is considering making its Macbook touchscreen, a move that has been described as a surprising reversal, after the company’s CEO Steve Jobs in 2010 described touchscreen laptops as “ergonomically awful”.

According to a Bloomberg report, the tech company is now working on adding a touchscreen to its Macbook pro laptops, which is expected to arrive in 2025 as part of a major Macbook pro update.

The report further disclosed that Apple has for a long time avoided producing laptops with touchscreen because they feel it could disrupt its iPad sales.

Laptops have reportedly brought in more money for Apple in recent years, which according to analysts would be ideal for the tech company to finally jump into the touchscreen trend which they believe would triple sales.

Investors King understands that Apple’s Macbook laptops have been the company’s primary growth driver for its computer business, with the MacBook leading the way.

As of September 2022, data from consumer Intelligence research partners (CIRP) revealed that in the desktop segment, the iMac and Mac pro led the way at 50% and 43% respectively.

Also, Apple’s fourth-quarter financial results for 2022, revealed that revenue for the Mac reached $11.5 billion, contributing to the company’s overall earnings of $90.15 billion drying that quarter.

With Apple’s likely turnaround on its Macbook production, Investors King understands that such a move may be necessitated due to the growing number of competitors, the likes of hp, Microsoft, Dell, Lenovo, etc who are making a great profits in the sale of their touchscreen laptops.

Knowing full well that one major advantage touch screens provide to users, is the ease of use which has seen it more preferable among other options, Apple will likely not hesitate in jumping into the touchscreen trend.
