The National Social Investment Management System (NASIM) has started paying Npower Batch C, Stream 1 their July allowance, a source familiar with the program informed Investors King.

NASIM is the management organ for all the federal government social intervention programmes which include Npower, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), National Home Grown School Feeding Program (NHGSFP) and the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).

It could be recalled that the pay for the month of July was delayed for a very long time which has caused many beneficiaries to be worried.

Before now, beneficiaries could only see that their July stipend had been paid on their NASIM dashboard but were not credited.

Our correspondent also learnt that NASIM has promised to clear all payment backlogs which are caused mostly by technical errors.

A message which NASIM sent to one of the Npower Batch C, Stream 1 beneficiaries partly read ” We apologise for the issue you have with your stipend. Please note that our technical team are currently working on resolving all backlogs payment. Kindly be patient, your payment will be re-initiated soon”.

Meanwhile, NASIM has instructed all Npower Batch C, Stream 2 beneficiaries who have not been deployed to exercise patients as deployment is still in progress.

It also advised those deployed outside their local government of residence to meet their state focal person for redeployment.

“The NASIMS platform will help ensure transparency, institutional memory, and dynamic impact assessment of the N-Power cluster, Batch C, thus providing seamless interaction between the programme and beneficiaries,” said Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk

“The NASIMS platform will also facilitate seamless beneficiary verification, including an efficient transition & exit management plan that will enable beneficiaries to be migrated automatically to the NEXIT Program for POSSIBLE placement & employment opportunities with FG agencies”.

Created in June 2016, Npower is an initiative of the Federal Government to address the issues of youth unemployment and help increase social development. It has since empowered millions of Nigerian youths in different programmes which include N-tech, N-tech, N-agro, N-health and N-tax, N-build and N-creative.
