On the 12th of September 2022, the parent company of the iPhone, Apple released the much-anticipated iOS 16 with amazing features to give an enhanced performance to iPhone users.
iOS 16 gives you a new way to personalise your lock screen, showcase your favourite pictures and customise your font size.
It also allows you to set your widget in a way to get your important information such as weather, calendar and event date at a glance.
You can also create different lock screens and easily switch between them. Above all, you can check all your live activities on your lock screen.
You can track the progress of the food you ordered or check the live score of a football match without the need to unlock your phone.
Another interesting feature of iOS 16 is that it allows you to edit a message you just sent or even to unsend a recently sent message.
Steps by Steps Update to iOS 16
Step One: Back up your device to iCloud or your computer so that you can have a duplicate copy of your files or in case you want to later downgrade back to iOS 15.
Step Two: Make sure your device is fully charged or connected to power while the update is in progress.
Step Four: Make sure you are connected to the Internet (Wifi)
Step Three: Go to settings, then click on general. You will see ‘Upgrade to iOS 16’.
Step Four: Click on ‘Install Now’ and it will automatically install. However, if you see download and install, that means you will have to download the new update before you install it. All you have to do is click on download and after it has been downloaded, you should click on install.
Note: Before you start with the upgrade, do make sure you have enough available storage on your device. You will need a bare minimum of seven to ten gigabytes of available storage on your device. Alternatively, you can delete unnecessary applications on your device to create enough storage for the update before you start with the process.
