Kaizen Academy Limited Appoints Three New Directors

As part of its strategic focus to deepen the collective experience of the Board and ensure inclusion and diversity, the Board of Directors of Kaizen Academy Limited, a foremost governance, training and consulting firm, has approved the appointments of Mrs. Aramide Nwokediuko, Mrs. Olubukola Olateru, and Mrs. Adeola Olumeyan as Independent Non-Executive Directors.

They join Mrs. Mercy Edukugho-Aminah (Chairperson), Mr. Shofola Osho, Mrs Favour Uddomessien (MD/CEO) and the Co-Founder, Mr. Ayokunle Ayoko on the Board. In a statement signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Lilian Obiageli, the appointments were effective September 28, 2021.

Commenting on the appointments, the Chairperson explained that the appointees were distinguished and proven experts in the field of law and governance; which were some of the core focus areas for the firm hence the Board was convinced of their ability to bring to bear, their extensive experience to the Board.

The details of the appointees are as follows:

Aramide Nwokediuko

Aramide spent over a decade with one of the top law firms in Nigeria – Banwo & Ighodalo, and was involved in the some of the biggest acquisitions in the fast-moving consumer goods and the banking industries.

Aramide is currently the Group Company Secretary and Head of Legal of CFAO Nigeria. She has authored many articles in leading law publications and also delivered several presentations on diverse subjects. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Trademark Association, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Arbitrators (UK and Nigeria).

Olubukola Olateru

Olubukola is a dynamic business lawyer, Chartered Secretary, Governance and Compliance professional with professional experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating international legal instruments.

Olubukola is a well presented and highly personable lawyer who possesses excellent organizational skills, and an eye for detail. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and also the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser for Friesland Wampico Nigeria Plc.

Adeola Olumeyan

Adeola is a chartered Company Secretary with experience in policy development, board advisory, corporate governance, compliance, risk, negotiations, and intellectual property. She is a Certified Corporate Governance Board Auditor and Trainer.

She is a Notary Public, Certified Corporate Governance/Board Auditor and Trainer who is skilled in public speaking, staff training and corporate event management.

Adeola holds an LLB Degree from the Lagos State University. She also holds an MBA from the Lagos Business School. She is also the Assistant General Counsel/Company Secretary for Channels Television.
