SHIB approach a million holders as the growing activities of the Shiba Inu community continue to push the meme coin to the mainstream. SHIB currently has 990,950 holders globally.
Just 9,050 holders to hit the 1 million holders milestone.
Data from CoinMarketCap shows that Shiba Inu has a total of 990,950 holders of which the top 10 holders account for 64.14 percent of total SHIB in circulation. Also, the top 100 holders of SHIB account for 80.26 percent of total Shiba Inu in circulation. In the last 24 hours, 14,645 addresses are active.
The total holders of Shiba Inu surged by 82,463 from 908,487 holders recorded on the 3rd of November to 990,950 holders on the 22nd of November 2021.
On the list of the digital assets by market capitalization, Shiba Inu is on the 11th spot trading at $0.00004215 at press time. The meme coin is down by 6.64 percent in the last 24 hours and 15.81 percent down in the last 7 days.
Despite its strong rally last month, Shiba Inu is down by 51.56 percent from an All-Time High of $0.00008845 traded on the 28th of October.
The continuous increase of SHIB holders could be attributed to the acceptance of the meme coin as a means of payment by AMC Entertainment, the deliberate effort of the SHIB community to burn SHIB and the prospective listing of the coin on the Karen and Robinhood crypto exchange platform.
The Shiba Inu community advised investors to beware of a new Shiba Scam in circulation, this warning was issued through Shiba Inu’s official Twitter account. The scam is targeting holders of the Shiba Inu coin and other prospective investors.
According to a written statement published on the account. It reads, “we’ve been made aware of a recent scam traveling social media and other communication platforms. A fake SHIBA Telegram group is being shared across social media, the scammers impersonate official accounts and create fake users. There is no ‘SHIBA BREAKING NEWS! BIG EVENT!’ There is no SHIBA airdrop! There is no SHIBA bonus! There is no SHIBA giveaway! There is no SHIBA gift globally!”
