TY Holdings Limited Acquires Additional 60 Percent Stake in BOC Gases Nigeria Plc

The management of BOC Gases Nigeria Plc announced that TY Holdings Limited has acquired an additional 249,746,823 ordinary shares or 60 percent stake in BOC Gases Nigeria Plc, a company previously owned by BOC Holdings UK.

TY Holdings Limited had acquired 12 percent of BOC Gases Nigeria Plc before the latest acquisition of an additional 60 percent, bringing the company’s total stake in BOC Gases Nigeria Plc to 72 percent.

This was contained in a statement signed by Mrs. Ronke Segun-Alabi, Company Secretary, BOC Gases Nigeria Plc.

The statement reads, “BOC Gases Nigeria Plc (the Company) wishes to notify Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public that TY Holdings Limited has acquired additional 249,746,823 ordinary shares in BOC Gases Nigeria Plc, being 60% of the entire shares in the Company previously owned by BOC Holdings UK (a member of the Linde Group).

This purchase is in addition to the existing 12% shares of the Company owned by TY Holdings Limited prior to this transaction bringing the ownership of TY Holdings Limited in BOC Gases Nigeria Plc to 72%.

This change in the ownership of BOC Gases Nigeria Plc is effective today 13th day of August 2021.
