The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) rebounded from Monday’s negative opening as stock investors gained N23 billion on Tuesday.
Investors traded 110,770,650 shares worth N3.084 billion in 3,305 transactions during the trading hours of Tuesday, against the 141,282,273 shares valued at N1.636 billion exchanged in 3,393 deals Monday.
The market value of listed equities rose by N23 billion from N20.583 trillion recorded on Monday to N20.606 trillion on Tuesday. While the NGX All-Share Index gained 0.11 percent to settle at 39,550.36 index points on Tuesday, up from the 39,505.4 index points posted on Monday.
Honeywell Flour Mills set a new 52-week high at N2.47 to lead gainers with N0.22 or 9.78 percent. Pharma-Deko Plc followed with N0.11 or 9.24 percent gain to close at N1.30 a unit. See the details below.
