NGX Index Sheds 0.04 Percent on Monday as Stock Market Opens the Week in Red

The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) opened the week in the red as more stocks closed negative on Monday.

Investors transacted 141,282,273 shares valued at N1.636 billion in 3,393 deals during the trading hours of Monday, while the NSE All-share Index depreciated by 0.04 percent from 39,522.34 index points recorded on Friday to 39,505.4 index points on Monday.

Market value of all equities dipped by N9 billion to N20.583 trillion, down from N20.592 trillion achieved on Friday. SFS Real Estate Investment Trust led gainers with N6.15 or 9.96 percent to settle at N67.90 a share. MRS followed with N1.25 or 9.92 percent gain to N13.85 a unit. See the details below.
