The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed in the green on Tuesday as stocks of Airtel Africa, Unity Bank and others led gainers amid strong positive sentiment.
Investors traded 474,528,558 shares valued at N3.982 billion in 4,161 transactions, against 194,949,981 shares worth N1.014 billion that were traded in 3,830 transactions during the trading hours of Monday.
NGX All-Share Index gained 1.58 percent to close the day at 39,176.62 index points, up from 38,567.26 index points recorded on Monday.
The market capitalisation of listed equities gained N318 billion from N20.094 trillion achieved on Monday to N20.412 trillion on Tuesday.
BOC Gas led the most traded stocks with 249,765,703 shares valued at N1,373,798,214.50. Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) followed with 372,815,27.00 shares worth N1,044,754,919.55. See the details below.
