Nigerian Exchange Limited Gained N139 Billion on Wednesday

Nigerian Exchange Limited appreciated by N139 billion on Wednesday as listed companies announced their closed periods for the first half of the year. 

Investors traded 213,704,495 shares valued at N3.231 billion on Wednesday in 3,522 transactions during the trading hours of Wednesday, against 229,009,903 shares worth N2.730 billion in 3,678 transactions on Tuesday.

The market value of listed equities gained N139 billion from N19.621 trillion it closed on Tuesday to N19.760 trillion on Wednesday.

The Nigerian Exchange Limited All Share Index gained 0.71 percent to 37,907.28 index points on Wednesday, up from 37,640.75 index points recorded on Tuesday.

Nestle led top gainers with N140 or 10 percent appreciation to close at N1540 a share. See the details below.
