Air Peace Takes Delivery of Second Embraer 195-E2 Aircraft

Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest carrier, has taken delivery of a new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft, according to the company.

The company said “Brand New! Today, March 18, 2021, we received our second brand new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft out of the 13 ordered.

“We’re expecting more brand new E195-E2s before the year runs out and we’ll keep providing more connections for the flying public.

“Congratulations, Flygerians!.”

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, said: “We are using this medium to call on the Federal Government to impress it on the Nigeria Customs Service to obey the laws of the country.

“If there is no positive response from Customs airlines may shut down. In a situation where the Customs is serving as an obstacle in implementing the waiver for aircraft spares and allowing zero duty a lot of aircraft could be on the ground.

“Airlines should not be pushed into managing situations that could affect safety, rather we will shut down. On the impact of new airplanes on the aviation sector, Onyema said passengers will enjoy flying state of the art equipment which will not only contribute to the gross domestic product but create jobs for over 8,000 Nigerians.
