Joe Biden Moves Closer to The White House With 264 Electoral Votes

The former Vice President of the United States of America Joe Biden is leading the ongoing presidential election in the United States.

The Vice President, who is up against controversial president Trump, has received 72,472,393 votes or 50.4 percent, the highest by any presidential candidate in the history of the United States of America.

President Trump trailed him with 68,921,310 votes or 47.9 percent.

Biden has won 264 electoral votes and presently leading in Nevada and Arizona. The former Vice President is still very much in the race in Pennsylvania where he has closed Trump’s gap to about 106,000, in Georgia where Trump’s lead has dropped to 0.2 percent or less than 14,000 and in North Carolina where he is also fast catching up with Trump.

It should be noted that Biden just needs to win either Nevada or Arizona to reach the 270 electoral votes needed to emerge the next US president.

However, given ongoing counts and results, several people have started celebrating Biden’s victory with Donald Trump threatening to go to court.
