NIPOST to Offer Businesses, Private Organisations Address Verification Service

Nigerian Postal Service continues to reinvent itself through innovation and improved service offerings.

The Nigerian Postal Service has added Address Verification Service to its growing offerings to help corporate and private organisations verify the address of both customers and employees.

Ismail Adewusi, the Post-Master General of the Federation, disclosed on Thursday in Abuja during a virtual colloquium to celebrate 2020 World Post Day.

According to Adewusi, NIPOST was working hand in hand with the National Identity Management Commission to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Adewusi said, “We have the vision of making post offices a one stop shop whereby people can access several government services through our e-governance service.”

He explained that the agency has been rendering social service to Nigerians in area of logistics transfer and help in deepening financial inclusion across the country.

Adewusi further stated that NIPOST would leave no stone unturned in making its over 1,000 offices across the nation functional and effective in terms of e-governance services.

“Digital substitution of traditional postal services is accelerating as both consumers and businesses adopt changes in digital processes across multiple domains,” he said.

He added that the agency has realised that for efficient growth, it needed to evolve to accommodate the digital age.
