Bitcoin Price Gains 1.7% to $9,744 on Monday

Bitcoin price increased by 1.66 percent on Monday following its failure to sustain the break of $10,000 resistance level as widely anticipated.

According to Investors King’s live Bitcoin price table, powered by Coinlib, the dominant cryptocurrency gained 1.66 percent in the last 24 hours to $9,755 or N4,237,902 per coin.

Similarly, N1.60 trillion worth of Bitcoins were traded with the market capitalisation rising slightly to N77.98 trillion as at 11.29 am Nigerian time on Monday.

Ethereum, the second most dominant cryptocurrency, also advanced by 1.08 percent to N94,662 or 0.0246 BTC. Total value of N551.88 billion was traded while market capitalisation improved to N10.53 trillion.

Ripple gained its third position to exchange at N78.66 a coin, about 0.10 percent gain.

Ripple worth N58.85 billion were traded in the last 24 hours to push the total market capitalisation of the coin to N3.45 trillion.

Bitcoin Cash followed with 0.99 percent gain to settle at N98,825 or 0.0266 BTC. Bitcoin Cash, management that broke out of Bitcoin a few years back, expanded to 1.81 trillion market capital while N1.58 trillion worth of the coin was traded.

Tether, a supposed stable coin, gained 0.4 percent to close at N387.60 or US$1. Bringing its total market capital to N1.80 trillion.
