Air Peace, one of Nigeria’s leading airlines, inked a $212.6 million contract with Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace conglomerate, to purchase additional three E195-E2 aircraft.

The airline signed the new contract at the Dubai Airshow to take its total order of E195-E2s to 13.

According to Air Peace, the new E195-E2s contract valued at $212.6 million going by Embraer’s current price for E195-E2s, would reflect on Embraer’s 2019 fourth-quarter backlog.

“The aircraft also comes in single configuration of all economy class of 144 seats,” the airline said in the statement.

Mrs. Ejiroghene Eghagha, the airline Chief of Finance and Administration, who represented the airline during the signing, was quoted as saying the E195-E2 was the perfect aircraft for Air Peach to expand operations in Nigeria and across Africa.

She said, “The new deliveries will ease our subsidiary fleet in the Air Peace Hopper to actualise our ‘no-city-left-behind initiative which we shall continue to execute.

“We are receiving impressive data about the aircraft’s economics when in revenue service, and this was a driver to place this new firm order with Embraer. We look forward to receiving our first aircraft, which will enhance connectivity in Nigeria and the African region.”
