Boeing, a U.S airplane manufacturing company blamed for the crashes that killed prof Adesanmi and 345 others in Ethiopia and Indonesia, has finally announced a compensation package for the families of its victims.

In a statement released by the company through its compensation fund, set up a while ago to compensate the relatives of those affected, the fund on Tuesday said each family would receive $144,500 or N51.7 million.

This includes Nigeria-born Canadian Professor Pius Adesanmi who died on the 10th of March, 2019 at age 47 when Boeing manufactured Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed shortly after take-off.

Adesanmi died with other 156 passengers and crew members on the 737 MAX.

This was after Lion Air Flight 610 (737 MAX) had crashed and killed all 189 people on board in Indonesia. Leading to a worldwide call to ground all Boeing manufactured 737 MAX.

Airlines that have placed orders immediately started canceling others while countries like Germany closed its airspace to Boeing manufactured planes until a required investigation was carried out on their technology and performance.
