Mr. Femi Falana, the legal counsel to Mr. Omoyele Sowore, has arrived the Federal High Court in Abuja as the Federal Government arraigned the convener of RevolutionNow protest, Mr. Omoyele Sowore, on seven counts bordering on treasonable felony and money laundering.

Sowore was arrested on August 3, 2019 in his hotel in Lagos, Nigeria. He was subsequently detained in the DSS custody for 45 days pending the conclusion of the investigation.

However, the Federal Government through the DSS filed additional charges against the former presidential candidate on Friday September 20, a day before the 45-day detention was to elapse.

The court will today hear the Federal Government’s application to detain him for another 20 more days.

While Sowore’s legal counsel, Deji Adeyanju and others are already in court, the prosecutor is yet to be seen. Therefore, the matter has been stood down until 11:00 am.
