Opera backed Lagos based fintech company, OPay, has launched a new service product OBus in Lagos just a week after launching OTrike in Aba, Abia State.

The company recently raised $50 million investment fund to expand its operations across Nigeria and deepen its growth in Africa.

Since the money was raised OPay has launched one product after the other and even entered two new states in Nigeria.

On Saturday, the company turned it up a notch, launched a new bus hailing service, OBus, in Lagos.

Just like Oride and OTrike, OBus is a commuter transit service and operates within Lagos for now.

The service has since been incorporated into the OPay app where potential passengers can make payment for a ride.

Passengers will have to purchase a QR-enabled OBus Card to pay for the fare. To make a payment, the cards are placed over a sensor reader inside the bus and off you go.
