OPay, Opera owned payments platform in Nigeria, has launched a tricycle hailing service, OTrike, in Aba.

The company recently raised $50 million to expand operations across the country and deepen financial inclusion through its mobile payments service.

After successfully launching ORide, a motorbike hailing unit of OPay, in Lagos, OPay has now stepped into a new untapped market in the commercial city of Aba.

Just like ORide, OPay discounted the first month’s trips to attract the beautiful people of Aba.

According to a breakdown of fare, passengers will be paying N20 for trips less than N400 in the month of August, while private trips will cost only N50 (for trips less than N400) in the same month.

OPay entering Aba with OTrike makes it the third city the company will be launching transport service after expanding operation to Ibadan about a month ago.

Potential passengers in Aba can now order ride using OPay app, pay bills, order food and use other services provided by the platform.
