The chairman of Forte Oil Plc, Femi Otedola, has picked up another medical treatment after paying for Christian Chukwu treatment abroad.

The billionaire just paid all medical bills of Peter Fregene, the goalkeeper who represented Nigeria at the 1968 Olympic Games.

The Punch had published a report on Fregene’s health and his struggles over the years on Sunday to alert Nigerians to his condition. On hearing of his condition, Otedola contacted Fregene family through the help of Nigerian Football Federation on Monday and immediately arrange for him to be fly to Reditton Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos for proper medical assessment of his condition and pay all medical bills.

Fregene, 72, who was still in Delta State as at the time of writing, confirmed that the billionaire has paid for his medical bill and he would leave for Lagos through Bening Airport.

“I’m leaving on Friday (today) to Lagos for treatment through the help of Femi Otedola. He had earlier sent representatives to check on my health. I will leave through Benin Airport. Everything has been paid for by him (Otedola).”
