  • Scanned Utility Bill (not more than 2 months) (Only for UBA)
  • Scanned Copy of Passport Photograph (FCMB & UBA)
  • Scanned Copy of Signature (FCMB & UBA)
  • Scanned Pay Slip/Work ID/Business Reg Documents if Self Employed (UBA)

Here are the four steps to open your Nigerian Bank Account from your base abroad

Visit First City Monument Bank (FCMB) for non-resident Nigerian or United Bank for Africa online portal to open a diaspora bank account in 4 minutes.

For First City Monument Bank (FCMB)

  • Click get started
  • Complete the online form, accept terms and conditions and click continue
  • Enter your contact details
  • Attach your scanned signature and passport photograph
  • Click complete. And you are done!

For the United Bank for Africa (UBA)

  • Select your country and click get started
  • Complete the form in 2 minutes
  • Click next and you will have your account number instantly.

If you are opening an account for a minor (0 – 15 years), FCMB requires a scanned copy of child’s birth certificate and passport photograph will be required. This page will be updated from time to time!.
