  • General Elections: U.S. Embassy in Lagos, Abuja Close Feb 22

The United State of America Embassy says its Consulate General in Lagos and Abuja office will be closed on Friday, February 22nd, in recognition of the Federal Government’s work-free day.

The embassy disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

The Federal Government on Thursday declared February 22 a work-free day to encourage voters to participate in the rescheduled general elections.

“In recognition of this declaration and to encourage all our Nigerian employees to exercise their right to vote, the U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos will be closed.”

“No consular services will be available. If you already have a regular visa or ACS appointment for that date, you will be contacted for rescheduling,” the embassy stated.
