Red Star Express Upgrades ISO Certification

  • Red Star Express Upgrades ISO Certification

A logistics company, Red Star Express Plc, has upgraded its International Organisation of Standardisation Certification to ISO 9001: 2015, having previously held the 9001:2008 certification.

The firm said in a statement that the new certification would enable it to remain one of the top organisations as regards maintaining high standards in providing products and services for clients and customers.

It said the ISO 9001 certification, which was overseen by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, focused mainly on quality management by ensuring that a company’s products and/or services were designed, properly documented and implemented according to the approved standards.

The Group Managing Director, Red Star Express Plc, Sola Obabori, said the upgrade was a necessary step for the company as it looked to improve its operational processes.

He said, “We have realised that some of the criteria for certification requires that the company be customer-focused, ensure timely pick-up and delivery of parcels and documents, have a system approach to management, provide continual improvement to processes, have mutually beneficial supplier relationships, as well as prove our commitment to maintaining quality on all levels.

“By meeting the rigorous third-party ISO 9001:2015 certification process, we have demonstrated that we have the ability to meet our customers’ quality requirements, apply all relevant regulatory requirements, enhance customer satisfaction and ensure continuous improvements in line with these objectives.

“It also means that our customers have complete assurance that Red Star Express Plc operates to the highest quality standards and that all regulatory requirements are met when rendering service.”
