  • Trump, Others Arrive Argentina Ahead of G20 Meeting

President Donald Trump on Thursday arrived Argentina for Group of Twenty summit, US-China Trade Talk and possible meeting with President Putin to discuss recent attack on Ukraine.

Among the leaders that have arrived were Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, etc.

The world leaders, who will be meeting for the first time in Argentina, will discuss trade disputes and growing global uncertainty.

The 13th meeting of the group is also expected to address Khashoggi killing. However, most experts do not expect something tangible from the gathering as it has proven to be ineffective over the years.

Still, investors and businesses will be looking for clue of possible accord between the two world’s largest economies, U.S. and China.

Analysts at Investors King, expect global financial markets to remain volatile ahead of the meeting. A positive outcome should moderate global risk going into the new year, especially after President Trump announced on Monday he would imposed tariffs on another $200 billion worth of Chinese imports in January and increase the previous sanctions to 25 percent from 10 percent if the two nations failed to reach an agreement in Argentina.

The two days meeting will be held on November 30 to December 1, 2018.
