Tyre Express, Prestige Assurance Unveil Tyre Damage Warranty

  • Tyre Express, Prestige Assurance Unveil Tyre Damage Warranty

A tyre distribution firm, Tyre Express Nigeria Limited, has introduced a one-year repair/replacement warranty on tyres purchased from any of its outlets within the country.

It said the offer named Tyre Damage Guarantee was a form of free insurance policy for all its customers that would give them a trouble-free ride throughout the period.

The firm said in Lagos on Monday that it had entered into an agreement with Prestige Assurance Plc for the success of the free tyre protection insurance policy.

The Managing Director, Tyre Express Nigeria, Mr. Govind Ram, said while the free Tyre Damage Guarantee was for a period of one year, any customers interested in extending the offer to the following year would be required to pay a small amount as the premium for the extension.

He described the offer as unique, noting that it was being introduced to the country for the first time.

“Every purchase of passenger or sport utility vehicle tyre at any Tyre Express Nigeria Limited fitment centres across the country automatically qualifies for a Tyre Damage Guarantee,” he said.

Ram stressed that the initiative was introduced as part of the company’s vision of being Africa’s most admired technology-driven tyre distribution company, adding, “We’ll remain at the forefront of introducing innovative services that benefit our customers across all countries where we operate and in keeping with our promise of ‘customer first’ we bring to Nigerians for the first time a hassle-free drive with our TDG offering.”

The Executive Director, Tyre Express, Mr. Gautam Singh Ghai, said all the tyre brands being distributed by the company such as Dunlop and Michelin were suitable for the Nigerian environment and road.

According to him, the TDG protects the owner of the vehicle from paying for any repairs or replacement of tyres damaged by road hazards such as rock, broken glass, potholes and kerbs.

“The guarantee is valid for vehicles used for private or personal purposes only; vehicles used for commercial purposes like taxi, danfo, vans and pick-ups are excluded from this cover,” Ghai said.

The Managing Director, Prestige Assurance, said, “The tyre protection policy is unique and first of its kind in Nigeria, which is aimed at giving the vehicle owners a peace of mind against the damage of tyres due to unforeseen reasons.

“The partnership with Tyre Express will definitely give a value-added service and enhace the satisfaction of the mutual customers in the process of carrying out our business of serving the community.”
