Goldberg, a product of Nigerian Breweries Plc, has offered grant of N300,000 each to 25 artisans to support their businesses as part of the Isedowo empowerment scheme in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The beneficiaries, according to a statement from the firm, included auto mechanics, fashion designers, caterers and hair dressers.

It added that at the end of the empowerment campaign, 100 artisans across the South-West would be rewarded under the scheme.

Activation, it stated, had been concluded in Osun, Ekiti and Ondo states where 60 artisans received the grants.

The Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Lager and Stout brands, NB Plc, Mr. Emmanuel Agu, was quoted as saying that the entrepreneurial intervention was part of Goldberg’s resolve to eliminate poverty and unemployment among people of the South-West, especially artisans who had little or no capital to invest or expand their businesses.

“Goldberg through Isedowo has deepened its connection with the people of the South-West by supporting their economic aspirations,” he said.
