Warren Buffett Certain Cryptocurrencies Will End Badly

  • Warren Buffett Certain Cryptocurrencies Will End Badly

One of the greatest investors of this era, Warren Buffett, on Wednesday said the recent rush over cryptocurrencies won’t end well.

“In terms of cryptocurrencies, generally, I can say almost with certainty that they will come to a bad ending,” Buffett said in an interview on CNBC on Wednesday. “Now when it happens, or how or anything else, I don’t know. But I know this: If I could buy a five-year put on every one of the cryptocurrencies, I’d be glad to do it but I would never short a dime’s worth.”

The billionaire further stated he does not own any position on bitcoin futures and he will never have a position in them.

According to the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, “I get into enough trouble with things I think I know something about,” he added. “Why in the world should I take a long or short position in something I don’t know anything about.”
